Welcome to Gifford Designs!

God has blessed me throughout my life with the ability to create things and fix things with my hands. In the last couple of years I've had an opportunity to learn new things and to create custom art pieces for friends and family. It has brought me great joy to create custom pieces that honor people's lives, their marriages, their service to our country and service to our God. I would love to make something for you, something special, something meaningful. We create custom metal art designs, home décor, military signs and custom signs & projects. Let us know what we can do for you.
If you can dream it, we can usually cut it.   The pictures on the web-site are just a few examples of our work.  We have hundreds of stock artwork that we can use or modify, but we can also start from scratch.   Below is a guide to a few of the options we have available when making custom artwork.
If you’re thinking about having a custom piece made please look over the options below.  Prices are based on several options, and to give an accurate quote we need all of this information:
Metal Type:   Steel, Aluminum, Stainless Steel (Steel is the least expensive option, Aluminum is the lightest)
Thickness:  We commonly cut from 20-gauge steel (0.0359 inches) to 1/4-inch-thick steel. For artwork and signs, we typically use 16 gauge (0.0598in)
Size:  Our machine is capable of accepting a 4’ by 8’ piece of raw material. We can make larger designs by joining pieces, but typically 4’x 8’ is the largest single piece.
Finish: When it comes to finishing the piece, we have many options:  Bare metal finish, paint, automotive clear coat, custom patinas, epoxy resin, powder coating (Additional Charge) are just a few of the options.
Layer Options: Single layer, multiple layers, wood canvas, custom canvas, 3D designs, etc.
When looking for images or design ideas we often tell people to search a topic on Google and click the “images” button and look through the millions of pictures available to help with picking a design starting point or image they like.  Once you have a general idea of what you want, we can guide you through the process and explain your options.
